This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Site or purchasing from us, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Order and account information: name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and order history.
- Payment information: payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
- Support and technical inquiries: information you submit through our contact forms, the Ask a Tech service, warranty and harness registration forms, or by phone, email, or chat — including vehicle year, make, model, and build details.
- Marketing preferences: email or SMS sign-up information, if you opt in.
- Dealer and wholesale inquiries: business name, contact details, and account information submitted through dealer or reseller applications.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and screen resolution
- Pages viewed, referring URLs, search terms used on the Site, and time spent on pages
- Products viewed, added to cart, and purchased
- Cookie identifiers and similar tracking technologies
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from advertising platforms, analytics providers, shipping carriers, fraud-prevention services, and payment processors.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and issue refunds or exchanges
- Provide technical support, answer product questions, and honor warranty claims
- Communicate with you about orders, shipping, and service issues
- Send marketing emails or texts, where you have opted in
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions
- Measure and improve Site performance, merchandising, and advertising
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations
3. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for essential Site functions (cart, checkout, login), analytics, and advertising.
Third-party technologies we use may include:
- Shopify — eCommerce platform, cart, and checkout
- Google Analytics — traffic and behavior measurement
- Google Ads — conversion tracking and remarketing
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — conversion tracking and remarketing
- Microsoft Advertising — conversion tracking, where in use
- Email and SMS marketing platforms — engagement tracking
These partners may use the information they collect to show you Kwik Wire ads on other websites and platforms.
Your choices:
- Adjust cookie settings in your browser. Blocking cookies may break checkout and other Site features.
- Opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
- Manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings, in your Meta account settings, and at optout.aboutads.info or youradchoices.com.
Do Not Track: Browsers may transmit "Do Not Track" signals. There is no common industry standard for responding to them, and the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. We do honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required by state law.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf: our eCommerce platform, payment processors, shipping carriers, email and SMS platforms, hosting providers, customer support tools, and our marketing agency.
- Advertising and analytics partners, as described in Section 3. Under some state privacy laws, sharing data with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising is treated as a "sale" or "sharing." You may opt out — see Section 7.
- Authorized dealers and distributors, where you request a referral or local dealer contact.
- Legal and safety recipients: law enforcement, regulators, or others when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, property, safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Retention
We retain order and transaction records as long as needed to fulfill orders, honor warranties, resolve disputes, and meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements — typically a minimum of seven years for financial records. Marketing contact information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the retention settings of each platform.
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and PCI-compliant payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Privacy Rights
